The iconic Clock Tower in Downtown Denver on 16th Street Mall was the setting for Kerry and Steve's wedding in late September. I had the pleasure last month to photograph a wonderful couple's wedding at the Green Gables Country Club in Denver. Ilana and Sam had a very small and intimate Jewish wedding with only close friends and family in attendance. The winding staircase above provided the perfect spot for bridal portraits. Liv and Chris got married last month at the Denver Art Museum. As students of modern architecture and fans of Architect Daniel Libeskind, this was certainly a fitting venue. Avery and Greg got hitched on August 6th at an elevation of 11,209 feet on top of Shrine Pass (just down the road from the Vail Pass summit) at the Shrine Mountain Inn. Alexis and Matthew were married on a Friday morning at the LDS Church in Centennial, Colorado. It was a quick shoot for me and I only provided family portraits and bride and groom pictures throughout the Temple grounds. The Temple itself is an incredible piece of architecture. While I have photographed weddings while looking at the Garden of the Gods, this was the first wedding that I was actually photographing IN the park, and it was breathtaking. Willow Ridge Manor is a stately mansion, set at the base of the foothills on the way up to Morrison. As you approach the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, on either the North or South Rim side, you would have no idea how dramatically the landscape will change within a few miles. Between Denver and Castle Rock, there is a small town called Sedalia, and in this area there is an amazing Scottish castle built in 1924 that now serves as a cultural center. Alright, we finally made it to the Korean Ceremony! After greeting all the guests at their tables prior to the Western Ceremony, Suim, Jason, and the immediate family left the main wedding hall for a small room nearby to perform their traditional Korean Ceremony. Ok. We finally made it to Suim and Jason's Western wedding ceremomy. Suim and Jason's mothers walked down the aisle and lit candles at the alter and then bowed to each other and then to Jason and Suim. We are now ready for the bride and groom's entrance. Jason, Suim, and I arrived at Yonsei University. There we met Suim's sister, Su gen (I hope I'm spelling that correctly), and Jason and Suim's immediate family went to the on site portrait studio to do their 'Korean' portraits in their hanboks. On a very gusty Saturday, March 29th, Jenna, Matt, and I headed out for their engagement session in Boulder.
